Windows PC App + AptoTrak & AptoGraph
DataTap Portable is designed for a Windows-based PC – Netbook, Laptop or Desktop. This application works with the PC’s internal (or external) Bluetooth (BT) adapter to connect to an external BT-GPS device to capture your location data in both continuous GPS (NMEA) and point GPS formats and is viewable using Google Maps as a backdrop. It also works with a USB-connected GPS receiver.
The captured location data can be uploaded on-the-fly to AptoTrak (i.e. AptoLink’s web-based tracking app) if there is a wireless adapter attached to the PC, or it’s saved to the PC. The location data can also be viewed and analyzed using AptoGraph (i,e. AptoLink’s web-based drawing tool) viewable through a Web browser. Both AptoTrak and AptoGraph user interfaces (UI) are accessed through a Web browser.

- Your location, “I’m Here”, can be saved and emailed to friends and family, which can be viewed in Google Maps on a PC/MAC
- Graphically displays the satellite information – number of satellites and Signal-to-Noise
- Units are selectable in either English or Metric
- Selectable frequency to log GPS data: ever 1 sec, and up to every 60 mins intervals

AptoTrak is a web-based tracking and viewing app that allows user to automatically uploaded real-time location/position and media directly from the handset through the wireless network and dynamically displayed. AptoGraph is a web-based graphing tool that uses Google Maps or Google Earth as a backdrop to plot GPS (NMEA) data, providing a visual experience of the user’s activity or route. AptoGraph enables users to upload a single ZIP file with pictures and .TXT or .CSV files, and geo-tagged pictures using a EXIF format.
