DataTap is designed for Smartphones, and together with AptoLink's web-based app called AptoTrak, provides a complete real-time location-based networking solution. DataTap uses the Smartphone’s internal GPS (or an external SD GPS or BT-GPS receiver) to capture your location data in both continuous GPS and point GPS formats. It also geo-tags media – pictures (using EXIF format) and videos (using a lat/long point) – and are displayed with the location data using Google Maps as a backdrop.

This application works with the PC’s internal (or external) Bluetooth (BT) adapter to connect to an external BT-GPS device to capture your location data in both continuous GPS (NMEA) and point GPS formats and is viewable using Google Maps as a backdrop. It also works with a USB-connected GPS receiver.
